The next level of functional orthodontic therapy: aligners which respect the functional involvement of mandibular movements. With the growing popularity of aligners among adults, a new group … of adult patients has emerged: those with disordered occlusal function who require aligner therapy.
How can we resolve those complex adult cases?
Integrating the most effective clinical protocols for treating dysfunctional occlusion into the aligner therapy procedure is crucial for these patients. 90% of adult patients have some kind of occlusal dysfunction, which must be treated if long-term stability is to be achieved.
